Frequently Asked Questions

Don't see your question here? Text or call 410-901-7155 or email freshconnectionslaundry@gmail.com — we are happy to help.

ABOUT PARTICIPATION

Generally, no.  A lot of Analog Club classes are designed for complete beginners. Starting with the basics and building from there. When a class is designed for advanced students, it will be stated in the description.

Your student should bring a load of laundry — washing laundry is part of every session — along with any supplies required for that block's activity. Materials will be provided or the instructor will provide a materials list in advance so you have time to purchase anything needed before Session 1. Beyond that, they just bring themselves and a good attitude.

Caregivers are welcome to stay at Fresh Connections during sessions. It's a great time to get family laundry done! We do ask that caregivers remain in the laundry area rather than the lounge classroom. During class the lounge is the students' space — having their own room to create, learn, and connect with other young people without caregivers watching makes for a better experience for everyone.

ABOUT LAUNDRY

Doing laundry is a core part of the Analog Club experience — not just a side activity. Learning to wash, dry, and fold your own clothes is a genuine life skill that contributes to larger areas of success later in life. Your child will leave every session with something they made and clean laundry they took care of themselves.

That is completely fine. A Fresh Connections laundry attendant is present during every session to guide students through the process. Loading the washer, transferring to the dryer, and folding are all part of what students learn. By the end of a session block most students will be able to handle it confidently on their own.

Yes — please bring a small amount of detergent for your child's load. Detergent is also available for purchase at Fresh Connections if you forget or run out.

ABOUT Phones

The Analog Club is all about unplugging and connecting with other members — so phones stay put during sessions. Students are asked to set their phone to vibrate when they arrive and keep it away for the full two hours. If your child needs to contact you during a session — or you need to reach them — they can ask the instructor to use their phone.

ABOUT ENROLLMENT AND PAYMENT

Start by completing our Student Interest Form — We will contact you within 3 business days to let you know if a spot is available. If a spot is available, we will send you a registration packet to complete and return along with your $60 enrollment fee. Spots fill on a first come first served basis.

Enrollment is $80 per 4-week session — just $20 per session. Payment is due before the first class of each session. Students are also responsible for their own laundry costs each session, which run approximately $3.25- $9.75 per load depending on machine and cycle selection.  For more information you can download our payment policy here.

If you need to cancel 7 or more days before Session 1, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 6 days of Session 1 are non-refundable. Once a session block has begun, the $80 enrollment fee is non-refundable regardless of sessions remaining. If Fresh Connections cancels a session block for any reason — including insufficient enrollment — you will receive a full refund. Please see our full Student Payment and Refund Policy for complete details.
